We are pleased to announce the 20th edition of the National Transplant Day in Romania, an event that will take place on April 11, 2025, at the Romanian Academy Library — Ion Heliade Rădulescu Amphitheater — Calea Victoriei 125, sector 1, Bucharest.

This year, the event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of liver transplantation in Romania.

National Transplant Day in Romania is an awareness of the fact that transplantation saves the lives of people who would otherwise have no other chance. Every year, transplant recipients celebrate with their families, transplant specialists, media representatives and civil society figures, the new life gained with the transplant.

The event will start at 10:00 in IOR Park, Central Alley, with the unveiling of a monument dedicated to organ donors and transplanted patients. At 11:00, in the Ion Heliade Rădulescu Amphitheater, a tribute film dedicated to the 25th anniversary of liver transplantation in Romania will be screened. At 11:30, speeches by invited personalities and transplanted patients will take place. At 12:00, a press conference will take place. At 12:30, a diploma and medal award ceremony will take place for medical personnel involved in liver transplantation activity from accredited centers. Speeches by center heads. At 13:00, a cocktail party and group photos will take place.
